Seven ultra-high-energy Tae Bo workouts plus the Amplifier Bar (this Deluxe set includes two DVDs that are not in the "Amped - Basic" set). Billy Blanks is especially energetic and motivating in this series. He's "amped up" his Tae Bo effectiveness with a collapsible weighted bar. The bar is perfect for kickboxing because it never restricts your freedom of movement. The bar weighs 3 lbs. and smoothly extends from 24 to 30 inches. At 24", you'll use it to boost intensity as you increase control (e.g. during a jab sequence, you can't just fling your arms around). At 30", it's like a barbell - the ideal length for moves like "helicopters," lateral raises and side leg lifts. All five workouts use the bar. "Jump Start," with basic, easy-to-follow movements, is a great place to begin. "Fat Burn Accelerator" features intervals - alternating segments of cardio and muscle toning. "Full Throttle" is designed to simply blast calories with flat-out, full-speed action. "Core Express" and "Live in LA" come on one DVD. "Core Express" is compact-but-tough; it blends aerobics and body-sculpting. "Live in LA" will keep you motivated with varied exercises and a passionate, exuberant class. The two additional videos also use the bar to improve form and maximize effectiveness. "Rockin' Abs" is super-targeted; it features a huge variety of ab-specific exercises done at a deliberate, controlled pace. "Rockin' Buns" will shape your entire lower body with a focused medley of proven muscle-toners (both standing and on the floor). If you're new to Tae Bo, each DVD has a 14-minute Tae Bo tutorial. Total running time of all workouts is 309 minutes!
