Practice Anatomy Lab (PAL™) 2.0 is an indispensable virtual anatomy practice tool that gives students 24/7 access to the most widely used lab specimens, including the human cadaver, anatomical models, histology slides, cat, and fetal pig. Each of the five specimen modules includes hundreds of images as well as interactive tools for reviewing the specimens, hearing the names of anatomical structures, and taking multiple choice quizzes and fill-in-the-blank lab practical exams. Specimen images are also linked to animations.
NEW! P.A.L.2.0 features:
• The all-new Human Cadaver module includes hundreds of specially-commissioned cadaver photos in all three activity sections in the module. This module also provides a fully rotatable human skull and 17 other rotatable skeletal structures.
• 3D Anatomy Animations of Origins, Insertions, Actions, and Innervations depict more than 65 muscles in the Human Cadaver module. These 3D Animations are viewable as students learn and hear the name of a muscle, thereby giving students a one stop learning experience. Gradable Quizzes for the Animations are included.
• Customizable and gradable Quizzes and Lab Practicals allow instructors to customize the online gradable Quizzes and Lab Practicals to reflect only those structures on which they want their students to be tested. The Quizzes and Lab Practicals are available in the Computerized Test Bank, in Microsoft® Word, and in CourseCompass,™ Blackboard, and WebCT.
• A greatly expanded Histology module includes more images of different types of tissues.
• Two new body systems, Endocrine and Lymphatic, have been added to the Human Cadaver and Anatomical Models modules.
Installation and launching instructions for the P.A.L. 2.0: You must keep the CD in the CD-ROM drive while using Practice Anatomy Lab 2.0. For Windows - Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If you have autorun turned on, the installer should launch automatically. If it does not, follow these steps: Navigate through My Computer to your default CD-ROM drive. Double click on the CD-ROM icon. Double click on the PAL2.0.exe file. For Macintosh - Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and double click on the PAL2.0.app file.
